Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematopathologist to join a high-quality pathology practice in Southern California. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive, contemporary hematopathology services, integrating morphologic evaluation with Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH, and Molecular Genetics.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of post-fellowship experience in Hematopathology; however, exceptional candidates and current fellows are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret bone marrow, lymph node, biopsy, and cytology specimens, including gross and microscopic evaluation
  • Dictate, review, and electronically release finalized cases
  • Read and interpret complex laboratory and ancillary study data
  • Integrate Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH, and Molecular diagnostics into final interpretations
  • Participate in case consultations and sign-out with full availability for client interaction across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases
  • Perform and participate in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) initiatives
  • Provide expertise and support to technologists and technicians to resolve diagnostic or workflow issues
  • Serve as Delegated Clinical Consultant when assigned by the Site Medical Director
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to maintain excellent turnaround time (TAT), quality, and customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and clinical partners
Required Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board Certification in Hematopathology (required)
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) preferred
  • Open to current Hematopathology fellows
  • Active or eligible unrestricted California medical license required
  • Eligibility for New York and/or Texas licensure a plus
  • Demonstrated success working in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with automated Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), including electronic reporting and signature

Position Overview
Join a well-established pathology team in Central California, providing pathology services across four local hospitals. You will be based in a professional laboratory setting and collaborate daily with five collegial and experienced pathologists.

We are actively seeking a pathologist with proven experience who can step into a high-volume, multi-hospital practice and make an impact right away.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring strong diagnostic skills across a broad spectrum of surgical and clinical pathology.
  • Demonstrate confidence in independent decision-making while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Appreciate the variety and complexity that comes with supporting multiple hospitals.
  • Provide expert consultation and communicate the medical significance of laboratory findings to referring physicians.
  • Deliver accurate, timely evaluations and diagnoses across a diverse range of anatomic pathology specimens.

Required Qualifications
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) required
  • Active California medical license (or eligibility to obtain one) required
  • Fellowship training in surgical pathology subspecialties (cytopathology, breast, GI, gynecologic, etc.) highly desirable
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and collaboration skills essential
