Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematopathologist to join a high-quality pathology practice in Southern California. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive, contemporary hematopathology services, integrating morphologic evaluation with Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH, and Molecular Genetics.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of post-fellowship experience in Hematopathology; however, exceptional candidates and current fellows are encouraged to apply.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematopathologist to join a high-quality pathology practice in Southern California. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive, contemporary hematopathology services, integrating morphologic evaluation with Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH, and Molecular Genetics.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of post-fellowship experience in Hematopathology; however, exceptional candidates and current fellows are encouraged to apply.
- Interpret bone marrow, lymph node, biopsy, and cytology specimens, including gross and microscopic evaluation
- Dictate, review, and electronically release finalized cases
- Read and interpret complex laboratory and ancillary study data
- Integrate Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH, and Molecular diagnostics into final interpretations
- Participate in case consultations and sign-out with full availability for client interaction across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases
- Perform and participate in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) initiatives
- Provide expertise and support to technologists and technicians to resolve diagnostic or workflow issues
- Serve as Delegated Clinical Consultant when assigned by the Site Medical Director
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to maintain excellent turnaround time (TAT), quality, and customer service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and clinical partners
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board Certification in Hematopathology (required)
- Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) preferred
- Open to current Hematopathology fellows
- Active or eligible unrestricted California medical license required
- Eligibility for New York and/or Texas licensure a plus
- Demonstrated success working in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience with automated Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), including electronic reporting and signature
- Competitive salary: $325K–$400K annually
