Job Title: Pathologists’ Assistant – Travel/Contract

Job Location: Eastern North Dakota 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8s

Dates: November 2, 2026 – January 29, 2027

Pay Range: Competitive weekly compensation based on experience and qualifications

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed

Call: None

Holiday Coverage: None

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Pathologists’ Assistant experience required
• PA(ASCP) certification required
• Surgical pathology experience required
• Ability to work a full-time Monday–Friday schedule
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a clinical laboratory environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform gross examination, dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens
• Ensure accurate specimen identification, handling, labeling, and processing
• Select appropriate tissue for ancillary and special studies as needed
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely specimen processing
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the surgical pathology workflow
• Follow established laboratory protocols, SOPs, and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grossing environment
• Support efficient daily laboratory operations and meet established turnaround times
• Communicate effectively with pathologists and laboratory personnel regarding specimen requirements or discrepancies
