Shift: Day Shift, Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm
Dates: Feb. 2-May 8, 2026 (13 weeks)
Pay and Benefits: $2800-$3100/week (includes lodging, transportation, per-diem)

Description: A busy Pathology Laboratory is seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant to join its team as a travel/temporary staff member for 13 weeks with the potential to extend. This role is well suited for a PA who is confident handling a moderately complex caseload and enjoys working in a collaborative, production-focused environment. The position supports high-quality diagnostic services through accurate gross examination, specimen management, and close interaction with pathologists and laboratory staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological or health science discipline required
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- ASCP certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA-ASCP) preferred or eligibility to obtain certification
- Prior experience in a pathology laboratory preferred but not required; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, pathology terminology, and laboratory practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with gross examination and sampling of a broad range of hospital- and clinic-based surgical specimens
- Accurately document gross findings in a clear and timely manner
- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the grossing area
