Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Location: Lewisville, TX

Weekly Estimated Pay or Pay Range: $29-$34/hr DOE, 10-15% shift differential
Bonus: $5,000 - if relocating, may be able to switch to relocation assistance.

Schedule: Day and Evening Shift
All shifts require at least 1 weekend day
Tuesday-Saturday ; Friday - Monday; Sunday - Thursday

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
• Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with at least 25 chemistry credits completed, classes completed in instrumentation and analytical chemistry, and 1+ year of CLIA lab experience
• 1 year Clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred
• Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred
